Lysianthus I had my doubts about this one, obviously due to the earlier Anime Try Knights being no good in my eyes. So two days ago I finally had the motivation to give this one a try, no pun intended...haha After watching all 9 episodes that were out up until now I can say that the animation, movements of the characters, backgrounds, colors etc are pretty good here, music is okay as well. The characters convey most of the emotions quite clearly, only 'sadness' isn't that easy to pick out sometimes but I think that's something one can get used to. Concerning some of the previous comments stating it's just "some cute gays playing (fake) rugby"....I kind of have to agree to it, at least partly. The whole thing does indeed give off the feeling of it being based on a boys love dating sim even tho it isn't. That's probably due to the kind of relationship and interaction those cute little boys have (getting really close to each other, hugging, pushing against the wall/on the bed etc). The 'playing rugby' part is really hard to comment. Usually sports anime focus on just that - the sport it is about. With number24 that definitely isn't the case. You won't see them practice all the time and you won't see them play proper matches like in other sports anime. That doesn't mean there are none at all, no, it's just not the focus of the show which would actually be...what else would you expect...the relationships between the characters, especially with the main character. All in all I wouldn't call it off as a 'shit anime' but if you're planning to watch it because you like the tension of real games, the sparkling eyes of the characters playing their favorite sport, the struggles they have during practice and the flashy moves they do then you might be better off searching for a different anime.
