K: Return of Kings

In modern Japan, where history has strangely overlapped with reality. There, seven "Kings" with great superpowers existed. Along with their clansman to whom they shared their own power with, the kings each formed clans. Order bound by blue, red flames that cause chaos, irregularities that shine in white, and reforms branched off into green. The Kings, each with their own abilities, now... With "jungle" once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.

ZhonLord Return of Kings wastes no time jumping right into the final stage of the K Project story. If you haven’t watched both Season 1 and the movie Missing Kings, there will be significant events that the show will reference and you’ll have to piece it together yourself. Watch the others first. Now then, onto the plot. After the events in the Missing Kings movie and Red Faction literally re-igniting into full glory, we get the return of our Silver protagonist and the Green Faction stepping into full daylight with their heads held high and their purpose unmistakable. They serve as the primary antagonist for this season, with the other groups banding together to try and prevent what to one side would be a disaster and to the other side a natural progression of events. Characters set aside past grudges, the situation escalates, and clashes happen in broad daylight that used to be kept secret when possible. And for the most part the writing, character development and presentation are a glorious improvement over season 1. There are two parts in particular that were weak – one is a specific mid-point conflict between two Kings and the other is… unfortunately it’s the way they try to wrap up the climax. Their ending message might make sense, but with how this story was progressing until now it would have been much more interesting to take almost any other route. It was a bit of a letdown compared to what could have been, even if it wasn’t outright bad. The story of K Project has taken a bit of a rocky road to reach its conclusion, but it definitely has more good aspects than bad. Fantastic worldbuilding and a creative magic system, great action for the most part, decent characters that improve as the show goes on and a mostly-good climax. I’m glad I watched it once, and hopefully you will be too.

Mitchigan This show was boring. The only reason I got through this was because I had nothing better to do and I thought that it might have potential. But nothing happened! I think there's a second season but I don't care to watch it. The show was confusing for me, I would watch the first 2 episodes. If you don't like it then, nothing will change, drop it. 3/10
