OAnguishedOne This is seriously the last episode? I can't believe it. The fact it has a second season is astonishing! Nothing was answered at the end of this season nor does it feel like a conclusion was reached. There was no closure. Nothing in this anime is very memorable and all these unanswered questions doesn't make me want to look at the second season for answers, if it will even have them.

Orphan Show has great concept animation but pacing is a little fast.

RoninMugen Hmmm, it feels as if all these events should have a larger impact onthe viewer, but they fall very flat. Kinda like the latter seasons of Tokyo Ghoul where the pace is so break-neck you just don't have time to get acquainted with the world and characters (and consequently don't care). Other than Ray Dawn and Wolfran there's no dramatic tension, Ozz's death was sad but it was also the first time we saw him in action. It just feels this show needed to spread out more.

SleeprunnerInc @Flame77 To answer your question. The black fairy tome is the epitome of how to unleash or create the ultimate power. Be it by possession or artifically creating it. The fairy Possession is rare as the Fairies themselves choose who to take and this was told in the first 4 episodes if I am not wrong. The black fairy tome was discussed in the last 4 episodes. Theres really nothing special about hers other than she burns other fairies kind of like an antimagic thing. The motive of Marlyas sister is to kill that one duke who killed the entire town. The political situation is that one dude wanted to reform the entire kingdom to be a kingdom of free reign artifical fairy technological advancements while the current one wants to restrict them because it makes it harder for terrorists to do any harm. I see how many of you miss most of this.

Chypotlay So... what? I am left with so many questions and still don't know what was really going on. There is just so little exposition. Adding Mystery to the genre list would be fitting. The death of characters has little emotional impact. The fight scenes were good but even in the worlds logic I find it hardly believable how Liscar just walks through a hail of bullets and none of his soldiers got shot. Such a shame since the character design is really good and they are 20-sth's instead of your typical shonen crew.

Flame77 So... the show wins with animation, fight scenes and even music... but it loses the watcher with plot, detail and what the characters motivation is. Ok... Just from the Anime... not "manga" knowledge. Who knows what the Black Fairy Tome that many lost there lives is for?... what makes Fairy Possession rare?.. What special about Hers? , The sisters motivation?... Can anyone tell me What happened about the political situation?... This is not "Season two" questions... this does not take 12 eps to set it up. THIS is why this anime falls short.. great to "watch" but that is about it 5/10

"Once upon a time, fairies were tools of war." The story takes place in a world where fairies possess and dwell in animals, giving them mysterious abilities. By removing the organs of a possessed animal and transplanting them into humans, fairies can be summoned as an alter ego and be used as a weapon. Such individuals who used fairies as war tools were called "Fairy Soldiers." Once the war was over and they completed their roles, the soldiers lost their purpose. Some began working for the government, some joined the mafia, and some even became terrorists, as each chose their own way to live. Nine years have passed since the war. The protagonist Mariya is a new recruit of "Dorothea," an organization which investigates and suppresses fairy-related crimes. Amidst the unstable political situation, criminals with lingering wounds from the war and past conflicts emerge and engage in terrorism as an act of revenge. This is the story of Fairy Soldiers, fighting for their own justice in a chaotic postwar world.
