Kewink99 i need atleast one ova please, and the ending is 10/10. Didnt expect they would show even a glimpse of a bit grown up dororo, it literally brought tears to my eyes. Probably one of my favourite endings in this years anime.

OPotaku the whole dynamic between Hyakkimaru and Dororo has been a little strange. I can see how people ship them. I'm not going to feign ignorance even if I dont agree with it. its like how people say Kagura views Gintoki(MC of Gintama) just as an older brother or father figure when she clearly seeks attention whenever gintoki talks about attractive women around her. the evidence is there. Don't come with that "just friends" bs. Also the suicidal jukai and mother thing was meh. Jukai seemingly showed up just to die and the mother seemed to be suicidal from the beginning. and it doesnt make sense that Hyakkimaru would just be okay with jukai dying like that. the audience knows about his past and the guilt he carries from before Hyakkimaru. Hyakkimaru did not know about that from what we could tell and in fact cared for him like real family. I' he wouldnt be like "oh I finally get to see what you look like you're going to kill yourself? that's cool" if he wasnt going to kill his brother, then why did he have to commit suicide as well? atone for sins? Hyakkimaru killed plenty of people as well, justified or not. He definitely rampaged in the process of possibly becoming a demon beyond the point of self defense. also the concept of "money being power" is a bit naive in how its executed here. a little kid with that much money to throw around would be bait for the very same violence and corruption they'd be trying to avoid. Hyakkimaru confronting his father was an interesting scene though. And there was a well done moment when the mother was finally acknowledging tahomaru even if it was before they died. Plenty of low points and faults beyond what I mentioned for the length it was but the premise was interesting and the story was enjoyable. 7/10

dreanimepro23 This imo was anime of the season, it started great and hit a nice stride for weeks rarely dipped and finished extremely strong. I honestly am indifferent about a season 2, on one hand, this anime was a remake with plenty of homages to the OG manga and anime and ended on a note that is remotely true to the OG source. On the other, it took on modernization storytelling elements that can see it go hard or even harder in a season 2. It can go off of things like "Will Daigo change his ways for the better and rebuild or will he become like the priest?" (because in the end the priest aid he too was a samurai) "How will Dororo go about building a place without samurai or other plagues" "What did Hyakimaru do in the years that he's been traveling and what did he find" "What did the priest mean about the troubles in the future" These questions could be the foundation of a season two if they choose to do one or it can also just be food for thought if they choose not to.

Kazuma11291 I'm sure it was the demons who were cursing the land with poor prosperity to begin with. Being offered Hkyakkimaru's body only convinced them to lighten their curse, not bring prosperity.
