ZhonLord I will clarify from my initial review, Blue Exorcist is like Fullmetal Alchemist. The original series wrote its own unique ending and goes in a different direction than the manga, while THIS show takes the manga-faithful timeline. The forest fight with Amaimon is where the two series diverge. In this version, there is no training under the Academy. There is no meeting the twins' grandfather. There is no "Rin awakening to his power and being possessed temporarily", no demon gate, no Rin's sword breaking. Kyoto Saga is how the manga continued after Amaimon's defeat, brought to life just as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was the manga-faithful telling.

Giorno_Giovanna this felt like a movie rather than a season, first of all in season one nothing ever happened that he couldn't draw his sword he always could they just had to make it a fucking plot device so that it would last longer this whole season could've been a 1- 2 hour movie and half of it is just filler , rin doesn't need his sword to use his flames since he already has some in his body the sword only supresses it by like 80%- 90%; another thing i hate is that how tf does yukio not remember that he used the blue flames? even when he drew the sword to give it to rin to destroy the gate he lit up like rin, even when rin couldn't use the sword against shura when she was training him he used flame, when he's training he uses his flames yet he cant do anything? this is a movie that was turned into a season its not that good. 6 or 7/10; season one was a 9 or 10/10 for me but that's just my opinion.

ZhonLord Picking up after the forest fight with Amaimon, Kyoto Saga uses a few choice flashbacks to show how the story told by the original had diverged from the manga to create its own finale. This manga-faithful version is a powerful continuation of the story, taking a much slower burn to how each character reacts and developed as a result of Rin's heritage revealed. And the way it does so makes the character development much more natural for all involved. Everyone is given more screen time and focus, resulting in stronger development and bonds between everyone, and the way Rin begins to take hold of his powers makes much more sense as well. This version also introduces a new form of villain, one that has the potential to greatly increase how conflicts will develop on future arcs, and gives a greater insight into the way different demons conflict against each other by their "elemental" natures. All in all, a well-rounded story that builds up into a final showdown that leaves plenty of room for more of the manga to be adapted. And I for one want the entire thing animated eventually, hopefully others share the same view.

henmoro This is the second season to Ao no Exorcist.. Too those who may be confused at the start of the anime, this is because the anime(First reason) Split into an OVA around episode 15-16(My guess).. - The anime will have moments where it'll show you what happened in between the OVA split period to make up for it..
