OPotaku I'd probably nominate this for "most overrated anime". this title is at least a contender for the superlative. There are too many plot holes throughout for me to actually enjoy this and very weak explanations to try to convince the audience those plot holes aren't there while people praise this as a masterpiece. I heard good things about this and throughout watching this I would stop to double check the general consensus out of annoyance and disbelief this title is so beloved. Many people said "wait until season 2 when it gets better" but I think it goes down hill starting from the last "arc" of season 1. I could go into detail as to why but I wont spoil it for those wanting to find out for themselves. I'll put my complaints in general terms and say the show has too many plot holes to take the serious parts seriously(the plot holes worsened when the show was supposed to get better); characters are introduced as highly capable and then after their debut, like the boss in a video game that was OP up until they join your party, they are not as impressive because reasons(this isnt a "vegeta" scenario where stakes are raised to fighting frieza - not even close); there are so many weak attempts to appeal to emotion that I found myself fast forwarding through things to get the gist of the dialouge for plot purposes but rolling my eyes at the cheesiness. As a whole, Assassination Classroom is mediocre IMHO. For almost everything it does, I've definitely seen another anime do it better. Koro-sensei is the bright star of this show. The wisdom he imparts on the kids is the one thing not matched by many anime I've seen and Koro-sensei is also the main source of all the jokes which I did laugh at. I'll just settle for the statement: "Assasination Classroom is not for me" but to give it a rating I wouldnt go higher than 6/10 and leaning towards a 5/10.

ZhonLord Assassination Classroom takes a premise that’s ridiculous on paper – a class of middle school dropouts having to try and kill a hyper-sonic tentacled being who’s also their teacher – and invests so much personality that it not only becomes believable, but entertaining as well. While it’s clearly aimed for younger audiences, there are certainly factors that can be enjoyed by adults as well. Starting with presentation, the animation is simply gorgeous. From the way it can rapidly shift emotional tones, to the very well-choreographed action moments, there are very few times where the visual presentation disappoints. They represent the faster-than-eye hypersonic movements by just showing the instant position shift as their teacher shifts directions or pauses in motion, which allows for a few interesting visual tricks like the “doubles” he will regularly refer to. Music is fitting but only if you listen for it, otherwise it’ll rarely grab your attention. It doesn’t add to many scenes, but it also doesn’t detract from any either. Characters are a blend of colorful personalities that initially have their own cliques and groups, but mesh into a more cohesive whole as the show goes on and each one makes use of their various strengths. Only about half of them get more than “part of the class” screentime, but those that do reveal some surprising insights and growth moments that are very entertaining – especially Karma and Nagisa, but also two later-on additions to the class. The adults in the show are not nearly as strongly written as the kids, aside from Koro Sensei himself; they have their moments to shine and grow, but primary focus is on the students. Pacing is overall decent, but the show does have one significant drawback that can kill scenes for older viewers even if it may be necessary for younger ones. Assassination Classroom takes a Show-AND-Tell approach, pausing in the middle of even some of their most intense moments to explain what’s going on and why. For younger audiences it makes sense, as they may not be aware of all the nuances, but for an older watcher it’s a pace-killer that can ruin the immersion of the moment. It doesn’t ruin the series for older viewers, but it’s easy to see how removing these moments of lecture could have made room for quite a few additional scenes or conversations elsewhere. It can also be extremely repetitive in the first half as they’re establishing the cast, but Season 2 is able to leave a lot of that in the dust and give a more consistent presentation. This anime’s definitely a lot of fun, and I recommend at least giving it the 3-episode try; enjoyable characters, interesting premise, and surprising emotional attachments by the end; just keep in mind that the moments where it talks down are aimed at viewers younger than yourself and you’ll be able to enjoy it just fine.

TangiFrangi Assassination Classroom is a great anime for 16 years and below. It is simple and has little bloodshed, along with heaps of comedic scenes.

Unholt @Zeman I kinda dont agree with you because there is an episode where they go to an island for a vication trip and thats for a couple of episodes and also when a new teacher came

Zeman I am gonna be honest with you all, this wasn't for me. I got a little more than half way through and I had to stop. This show felt very repetitive and slightly boring. I could see where it was going, but it lost my interest after every episode just seemed like the same as the last but with something slightly small changed. This however is just how i saw the series and could differ for everyone else. Personally, 5/10
