Max returns to Petalburg City to get ready for his own Pokémon journey and Brock returns to Pewter City, once again. Ash learns of a new region called Sinnoh, where he embarks on a new journey. Ash planned to bring only Pikachu, but Aipom snuck on the boat. Brock comes back a few days later in Sinnoh and they both meet Dawn (Hikari in the original Japanese series), a new trainer who hopes to become a great Pokémon Coordinator, like her mother. Ash meets a new rival, Paul (Shinji in the original Japanese series), who prefers to capture the strongest Pokémon, leaving the weak who are released, in strong contrast to Ash's methods. During the journey, Ash encounters the Elite Four of Sinnoh Region in different places respectively, he carries on battles with them, and also receives their instructions about battle techniques. Ash also meets Gary several times throughout Sinnoh, and is briefly rejoined by May during the Wallace Cup.

Then, after Ash gets in to Hearthome for his 5th badge, he runs into Barry (Jun in the original Japanese series), he is commonly running into them on and off. Barry and Ash have battled against each other twice, once at his anime debut, and then for the right to challenge Palmer to finish off the Twinleaf Festival. At Lake Acuity, Ash begins his full battle with Paul and wholly defeated by him, this extraordinary experience makes him try harder to beat Paul next time, in the Sinnoh League. Furthermore, Dawn gets her 5 ribbons and enters the Grand Festival, accompanying Zoey, Nando, Jessilina, Ursala and Kenny. After several rounds of competing, Dawn and Zoey enter the final round and carry on the final battle, and Zoey defeats Dawn again.

With the Grand Festival over Ash had his battle with Gym Leader Volkner and gained his eighth, also the final badge. Now he is participating in the Sinnoh League.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Tales of the Master Episodes Online

1. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Blind Alchemist (Moumoku no Renkinjutsushi)

Ed and Al hear of a blind alchemist named Judau who had supposedly performed a successful human transmutation. Meeting up with him, Judau reveals to Ed that a young girl named Rosalie was resurrected through alchemy, with his eyes paid for in equivalent exchange. However, the Madam refuses to teach Ed about the techniques used. Rosalie leads Al to a room with a little girl's shrivelled corpse inside. She reveals this as the result of the real Rosalie's transmutation, while she herself is a girl named Amy, who was adopted due to her similar appearance to Rosalie. As Ed arrives on the scene, the Madam tells him that her late husband kept the truth about the transmutation failure from Judau, who truly wanted to resurrect Rosalie. Ed and Al then leave, carrying this knowledge with them as well.

2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Simple People (Shinpuru na Hitobito)

While on their way back to Resembool to have Ed's arm repaired, Ed and Al buy earrings as souvenirs for Winry to prevent her from getting mad about the broken automail. Later on, Ed fights an assassin and his automail gets broken again, and he buys more earrings for Winry to avoid her wrath. Winry explains that she decided to pierce her ears after meeting Riza on the day Ed decided to become a State Alchemist. Meanwhile, Riza explains to her colleague that she grew her hair long after meeting Winry that same day. Her colleague comments on how simple a reason that is, and Riza says that reasons are always simple. To explain her choice, she remarks that they are all living in a simple world - where when they pull the trigger, their enemies die.

3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Tales of the Master (Sensei Monogatari)

Back when Izumi was 18, then known as Izumi Harnet, she travels to meet the alchemist Silver Steiner and request to be his apprentice. Given her only a knife, he tells her to survive one month in Mt. Briggs before she can become his apprentice. On the second day, she is found by some Briggs guards but manages to beat them and take their food rations. On the eighth day, she is close to starving to death, but then becomes motivated to survive. As she learns to defend herself and live off of the wildlife, she realizes the meaning behind alchemy: that one is all, and all is one. However, returning after a month, it is revealed she had been talking to Silver's older brother, Gold Steiner, who is actually a fighter. Annoyed, Izumi beats him and leaves. The OVA ends with an exaggerated look on the first meeting between Izumi and Sig.
